1.
I went down, to see what the pond had collected, A valley of gardens, muted the sound of the hills. The rain had ended, I can smell the leaving of winter, Green and blue, now, I feel them in every sentence.
2.
Pink 03:05
I climbed above the treeline, I saw the world at new light, Patterns in the sky, only seen from high above. It was love. I climbed towards a new sun, and I knew I couldn't have been the only one, to make it here. Patterns in the sky, dreams becoming real right before my eyes. It was love.
3.
Should I drift back? Into a dream? Colours form, and I won't know how to change, become anew, Moving clouds, the treelight, the grass and you, And I, we drift, we fall into a new time, Dreaming in this morning world with you.
4.
I awoke upon the shore, totally unsure Of the landscape I had before me. Finally a place of endless wonder. It was then that I saw you there, Wind coming through your hair. You smiled and took my hand and said, “Finally we can leave the pain behind.” We fell into this dream Orange sky and green beneath. We couldn’t remember anything; Running through this endless place with you. You held me close and said, “Here, there is no death. We can live forever, All you have to do is give yourself.” I want to believe that this is forever. We can see past the trees, Yet they go on forever. But it starts at the water.
5.
Post Storm 05:44
The wave of clouds that held me in, I see the grey begin to lift Over me. Where does life go when it’s done? A moon replaces morning’s sun Over me.
6.
Underneath, in the sea, I can see you swimming to me. The water moves, the colours change, The clarity dissolves in the rain. She can feel it cover. Life in the sea, life. Underneath, inside a dream, The water’s flowing soft From our hands to our feet. A life beneath is calling me, So we dive deeper into this floating scene. We can feel it cover. Life in the sea, life.
7.
You Said 03:13
8.
Garden Grove 01:57
Through the grass, into the garden grove. I’ve come to watch the flowers as they grow. Another chance to feel how little I know, And another morning spent not feeling alone.
9.
Along 03:53
Somewhere down the softest path, I fall into the grass. A violet cloud has covered now, And the sun is falling down. In this dream, halfway between, The Earth and where I am, I see you standing beside the water With the answers in your hand. What does it mean to find you here In this endless place above? Is this the sound of heaven’s song, Or the story of our love? “I am here to show you that, You are not alone.” So together we drop into the river, And it carries us along.
10.
Infinity 04:08
Since I found this place, I’ve begun to hear a voice from beyond space saying That this can’t be real. No, it’s not a phase. “Why can’t I stay, here on this plane?” Now I know, this is the end. The grass in the wind I start to see it again. The desperate world is always searching. Sorrow covers me, and the clouds roll in. I remember how this all began. Now I know, this is the end. Let me stay a little longer; I can find my way back home.
11.
Good Night 03:39
Dusk settles, The smell of night comes. A change is coming To everything that was, and is to be. Float away, Move into the dawn. With open eyes we watch As the morning world departs. Where will it go? Never to be seen again. The aching world has found a Peace it’s never known. Releasing all the mysteries, Finally we’re shown That time is but a structure, Given from above. Understanding that destiny Is a life spent giving love Where does it go? Never to be seen again.

about

In 2010, Jamison, the person behind Teen Daze, had no idea what Four More Years bring. That debut EP, a collection of blissful home recordings, was the work of a carefree 24 year-old. By 2012, things had changed, as they tend to do: relationships dissolved, illness affected his family, windows for outward communication were closing. The gravity of it all made for constant output; he reached for futuristic utopia with All Of Us, Together, found a devotional sanctuary inside The Inner Mansions, and embraced hibernation on Glacier. In hindsight, this was an artist coping through various forms of introverted escapism.

While proud of the material, Jamison sought to break this cycle when approaching the next record. He knew it would take a few leaps of faith, most directly: out of his bedroom… out of his comfort zone. For the first time, he gave up some control, inviting the input of others. Bearing over 30 demos, Jamison joined one of his musical heroes John Vanderslice at Tiny Telephone, his all-analog studio in San Francisco. Beyond the immediate sonic advantages of recording to tape, the sessions with Vanderslice and co-producer Simon Bridgefoot encouraged a new positivity and confidence to his craft.

The result is Morning World, eleven fully built, balanced, and expressed songs, the most vulnerable and honest Teen Daze LP to date. Thematically, Jamison paints a familiar picture: a Garden of Eden, a place of transcendent, painfree beauty, but with one key distinction... it’s not real and time there is finite. With vocals boldly up front—surrounded by strings, piano, guitar, and live percussion—he details a realm that, for the first time, has room for more than one. “Where does life go when it’s done,” he poses in the closing moments of “Post Storm”, before lending an answer that evokes the omnipresent wisdom of All Things Must Pass: “a moon replaces morning sun.
